Hi,
I have purchased the mobile phone tools 3.0 and cant get it to recognise my V80. It seems to install the disk and the dongle ok but when I select bluetooth connection and hit 'find me' on my v80 the next screen where the pc is looking for my phone just sits there with a spinning clock. If I hit cancel it says turn the phone off and on and try the same thing again, this does not work either. I have all the new drivers installed and there are no old ones to roll back to. I'm pretty certain it's not my phone as my headset works fine and my mate can contact me via his v600 on bluetooth. Running xp by the way. Any help greatly appreciated.
Simon

I,m still courious if you don't mine i'm asking, Does your dongle come with a Mini CD with software in them? cause mine came with Blue manager 3.1 and I have no need to use MPT for simple operation like syc. upload mp3 , pic... If the BT come with sofware that will install a punch of drive for fax modem... will taking up a lot oc comport and that is why your MPT have such a hard time looking for one. But then again I could be wrong. Good Luck

Sorry if you took my response the wrong way, I meant I didn't understand your english very well, thanks for replying, u r the only one who has so far.
My dongle came with a tools CD, it's all from Motorola, which is why im a little miffed it isn't working. As I said before the instructions are useless, I have learnt far more from readinf the posts in here. I have a few things i'm going to try tonight to make it work. If I ever get it working i'll be happy to tell u what I can and can't do.
Thanks,
Simon

Hi,
Had the same problem with installing the phone with mobile phone tools and no phone being detected. If you install the phone as a serial port, and then use phone tools, it should recognise it. I can't remember the specifics but it took a lot of fiddling.
Good luck
