Passionate Writers Wanted
We're building great things at Mobiledia, and we want to add some talent.
Every serious candidate should have a proven track record of conceiving, reporting and writing stellar pieces that provoke change. But our ideal candidate has also cursed at an editor and threatened to resign at least once because some idiot wanted to change his or her perfect lede.
We do a mix of quick hit daily news, future-focused analysis pieces and mini-projects that might run for a week. But we also hope to put together projects that are much too ambitious for a site our size because we like to dream.
We know the daily grind can be brutal, soul-sucking, self-esteem-lowering affairs. But if you're the type of masochist who likes working in your underwear, furiously typing away while ignoring hygiene, all for the thrill of having readers glance at your prize-winning epic right before clicking through to a cute cat video on YouTube... well, if that sounds like your dream job, then you're our kind of masochist.
If you're wondering what it's like writing about tech, it's arguably the best industry to cover, and not just because of the iPhone and iPad. We also write about sneaker-vacuum cleaners, solar-powered bras and other devices no man or woman in good conscience would ever buy.
You'll join a family of hard-working, creative and intelligent people who take pride in their work. Our team has a varied background in journalism, English literature, film and directing, business, engineering and more, but we're all passionate about educating readers on why technology matters.
If this sounds like your dream job, please come do it with us. Send questions, or a resume, cover letter and links to clips to contact [at] mobiledia [dot] com. If you already have your dream job, please pass this along to someone whose skills you covet.
Thank you.
