Nokia, the world leader in mobile communications, and RealNetworks, Inc., the leading creator of digital media services and software, today announced that the companies are expanding their long-term relationship to enable Nokia to ship RealAudio, RealVideo and the Helix DNA powered RealPlayer on a wide variety of Nokia mobile devices. The agreement will help both companies to achieve their mutual goal of enabling robust media functionality on mass-market mobile devices. In addition, the two companies today announced that Nokia has joined the Helix community (www.helixcommunity.org).

Researchers at Siemens have developed new mobile technology similar to Post-It Notes. In cooperation with researchers at the University of Linz in Austria and the Ars Electronica Center in Linz, the "digital graffiti" technology allows cell phone users to send SMS messages to physical geographical locations.

Details of the new 2005 entertainment and imaging led strategy will be unveiled at the 3GSM World Congress in Cannes, starting next week.
