Ericsson has filed patent infringement lawsuits against British-based cell phone manufacturer Sendo in three countries. The complaint alleges Sendo's products violated Ericsson's patents covering GSM and GPRS technologies.

Last Thursday, March 17, 2005, it was a double whammy for Motorola at the mobile phone industry's most prestigious award show, the Mobile News Awards 2005, where Motorola won Most Innovative Product for the RAZR V3 and Technological Advance for the A1000.

Symbian today announced that it has licensed the Microsoft Exchange Server ActiveSync protocol for use in Symbian OS, the leading open standard operating system for advanced mobile phones.
