Sprint today announced the addition of music video ringers to an impressive line up of downloadable ringers available to Sprint PCS Vision customers. Despite tiny screen sizes, cell phone users spent nearly $400 million on pornographic pictures and video in 2004, an amount expected to reach more than $5 billion by 2010, a recent survey found.

As part of Text Fest 2005, a month-long celebration of free text messaging, Virgin Mobile USA is hosting its first official Thumb Wrestling Championship (TWC), to take place in Miami between March 22-25.

Marking a major milestone, Cingular Wireless today announced here at CTIA Wireless 2005 that it now has 50 million customers.

Research In Motion (RIM) and NTP today announced that they have signed a binding term sheet that resolves all current litigation between them. As part of the resolution, NTP will grant RIM and its customers an unfettered right to continue its BlackBerry-related wireless business without further interference from NTP or its patents. At CTIA Wireless 2005, Motorola showcased the latest additions to its Seamless Mobility portfolio, including the ultra-thin, award winning RAZR in CDMA. Similar in design to the GSM version, the CDMA RAZR will have an upgraded 1-megapixel camera instead of the original 0.3-megapixel GSM version.
