At least half of Siemens Mobile will likely be sold after it said it didn't know if it would be able to increase earnings this year after posting losses.
"We thought we could achieve, under certain conditions, another slight rise in (full-year) earnings. Today, this is difficult to assess," Chief Executive Klaus Kleinfeld said.
Failing to give specifics, Siemens said it was talking to potential partners and would likely only keep a minority share.

Kodiak Networks, the leading provider of advanced wireless voice systems and Samsung Electronics announced a global licensing and marketing agreement to develop handsets. Sprint today introduced a pair of location-based services that will enable its customers to access driving directions and roadside assistance through a simple wireless voice call. The new services are available upon request to most Sprint customers subscribing to Roadside Rescue, which provides assistance for motorists, or to customers who use their Sprint PCS Phone to dial 411 to reach Sprint PCS Directory Assistance.
