Sprint PCS is planning a roll-out the first phase of its wireless high-speed data services beginning mid-2005, up to ten times faster than current wireless speeds using the technology of EV-DO (Evolution Data Optimized). By year-end Sprint Wireless High-Speed Data service will be available to more than 130 million people. And by early 2006, when the national build-out is complete, EV-DO will be available in approximately 60 metropolitan areas, encompassing more than 200 strategic urban and suburban markets - covering approximately 150 million customers.

Sirius Satellite Radio today announced an agreement with Sprint to offer select Sirius Satellite Radio programming. Some of the music channels being evaluated by Sprint and Sirius for the new service include new hits, classic rock, hip-hop, country, blues and soul to jazz and Broadway's best music. The new Sprint service will be available nationwide, and both companies plan to announce more specifics of the service, as well as the price later this year.

The Nokia 2125 is expected to be available during the third quarter of 2005, while the Nokia 2255 and Nokia 6265 are expected to be available during the fourth quarter of 2005.

Nokia today introduced a plan to significantly increase the options businesses have to optimize their voice services. Speaking at the annual Nokia Connection media event, Jaakko Olkkonen, Nokia's general manager for Enterprise Voice Solutions, described the strategy as a "fundamentally new way to marry the best of fixed and mobile telephony to provide cost savings and productivity to businesses and employees, new business opportunities for service providers, and simplicity and freedom for people in or out of the office."

Today, at the Nokia Connection events in Helsinki and Singapore, Nokia introduced seven new handsets under the heading "Simple Pleasures." Four new slide phones were revealed, including the 3G-enabled Nokia 6280 for WCDMA markets, and the Nokia 6265, Nokia's most feature-filled CDMA model to date. Additionally, Nokia introduced two folding designs and a traditional monoblock design. All seven models are expected to begin shipping in the second half of 2005.
