Nokia today announced that it has started deliveries of the Nokia N70, a compact, beautifully styled, easy-to-use 3G smartphone. Incorporating a complete smartphone feature set, as well as a 2 megapixel camera, flash and front camera for video calling, the Nokia N70 comes fully equipped with a digital music player and stereo audio.

RealNetworks today unveiled its Helix OnlineTV application for mobile and broadband providers and announced that Cingular has named Real as its end-to-end solution provider for the development and delivery of the carrier's next generation video service. Helix OnlineTV is Real's solution for both mobile and broadband service providers enabling them to offer personal interactive TV to consumers' handsets or PCs.

On September 2, 2005, the Superior Court of California in Los Angeles issued an Order preliminarily approving the settlement of this class action. Verizon Wireless' site can help Motorola V710 owners obtain information about the proposed settlement and also help them determine whether they are a member of the settlement class who qualifies for benefits in this case.

Sprint today announced the launch of Sprint TV Live, the newest addition to the Emmy Award-winning Sprint PCS Vision Multimedia Services. Mobile-computing pioneer Palm, Inc. and software pioneer Microsoft Corp. today announced a strategic alliance to accelerate the smartphone market segment with a new device for mobile professionals and businesses. Palm has licensed the Microsoft Windows Mobile operating system for an expanded line of Treo smartphones, the first of which will be available on Verizon Wireless' national wireless broadband network. The news was revealed in a press conference with Ed Colligan, president and chief executive officer of Palm, Inc.; Bill Gates, chairman and chief software architect of Microsoft Corp.; and Denny Strigl, president and chief executive officer of Verizon Wireless.
