Today a federal judge ruled invalid a $450 million settlement between NTP, a small patent holding firm, and the maker of BlackBerry email devices, Research in Motion (RIM). The District Court ruled that the Term Sheet entered between the parties in March 2005 to settle the litigation was not an enforceable agreement.
