Judge Rules Against BlackBerry Settlement

Today a federal judge ruled invalid a $450 million settlement between NTP, a small patent holding firm, and the maker of BlackBerry email devices, Research in Motion (RIM). The District Court ruled that the Term Sheet entered between the parties in March 2005 to settle the litigation was not an enforceable agreement. Verizon Cracks Down on Wireless Spam

Verizon Wireless has filed a lawsuit in U.S. District Court in New Jersey, seeking an injunction against Passport Holidays of Ormond Beach, FL for violating federal and state laws by sending tens of thousands of unsolicited text messages to Verizon Wireless customers.
