The Wireless Association, in partnership with the nation's leading carriers, today unveiled the "Wireless Content Guidelines," a voluntary pledge by the industry to proactively provide tools and controls to manage wireless content offered by the carriers or available via Internet-enabled wireless devices.

Motorola announced today that Motorola Ventures, Motorola's equity investment arm, has made a strategic investment in Tekion, Inc., a North American developer of micro fuel cells for mobile products. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Women outpaced men in purchasing ringtones by two to one during Q3 2005, reported Telephia, the leading provider of performance measurement information to the mobile industry. Verizon Wireless has filed suit and obtained an immediate injunction against a Florida-based private investigative agency and its affiliates to stop their attempts to fraudulently obtain confidential information about Verizon Wireless customers.
