BenQ Mobile today launched the EF91, the world's first mobile to carry HSDPA technology. HSDPA stands for "High Speed Downlink Packet Access," which describes a technology that enables a data transfer speed in the UMTS network that is several times faster than the conventional standard. Now live television, video downloads and mobile Internet surfing can become a high-speed experience on the mobile phone. Thanks to HSDPA, shaky pictures seen during video calls are also a thing of the past.
Using modern multimedia technology, the BenQ-Siemens EF91 brings fun and entertainment to day-to-day communication with friends, family and colleagues. This clamshell mobile combines a high-resolution digital camera and modern mobile phone in one compact device. Precious moments can be captured spontaneously in pictures whilst on the move at any time with the aid of the integrated 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus, digital zoom, photolight and camcorder function. Sharing pictures with friends is now easier via the mobile data transfer.

Motorola today unveiled the W220 as its first value-priced thin clamshell handset incorporating an integrated FM radio, bringing a new level of style and functionality, not to mention cool sounds and vital information, to consumers around the world.
The W220 continues Motorola's pledge to meet the needs of mass market consumers around the world by giving them the tools they need to stay connected and follows the company's vision of 'connecting the next billion' handset users. W220 is the latest addition to Motorola's broad mass market portfolio, which is specifically designed to address the diverse needs and desires of the mass market.
The feature rich W220 includes a built in stereo FM radio offering entertainment on-the-go; browser, picture messaging and downloadable media capabilities, lantern technology, large font capability, alarm clock and up to 600 entry phone book capability. The smart W220 also features an innovative external display with colour icons for instant updates on your message, battery and phone call status.

The W220 measures in at 46 x 95 x 16.6 mm and 93 grams. Its features also include large 128 x 128 px vibrant color screen and expanded battery life that accommodates up to 497 minutes of talk time and 293 hours stand-by.
The Motorola W220 is expected to be available in Q3 2006.

HP today introduced the latest HP iPAQ handheld, a smart device with the ability to receive email wirelessly using new "push" email functionality from Microsoft.
In addition, the HP iPAQ hw6900 Mobile Messenger provides customers with all the essentials to keep a business or personal lifestyle running while mobile, including a mobile phone, access to Wi-Fi wireless hotspots, data networks, digital content and services, and enhanced security.
The Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 Messaging and Security Feature Pack allows HP iPAQ hw6900 customers to automatically receive new email, calendar items, tasks or contacts without incurring additional email middleware expenses.
"With the powerful HP iPAQ Mobile Messenger, busy professionals no longer need to sacrifice connectivity when away from their desks," said Ted Clark, senior vice president and general manager, Mobile Computing, HP. Nokia today announced the new Nokia 6070 phone, a mid-ranged device with basic camera phone capabilities and stereo FM radio at an affordable price point. The easy-to-use and reliable handset offers excellent usability with its large color display and clear keypad layout, combined with the intuitive and well-known Nokia Series 40 user interface.
The Nokia 6070 presents a solid range of functions for easy messaging, including SMS, MMS, Nokia Xpress audio messaging, email and instant messaging. Voice communication features include push to talk, voice recorder and an integrated handsfree speaker, complemented by an infrared interface. XHTML browser enables easy browsing for news and uploading images and videos for sharing using fast EDGE data communication. For additional entertainment, the phone comes with a stereo FM radio and supports true tones, MP3 and polyphonic MIDI ringing tones.

Bridging two of the world's most ubiquitous wireless standards - GSM and WLAN - the new Nokia 6136 phone integrates UMA (Unlicensed Mobile Access) technology to allow for seamless handover of voice and data connections between GSM cellular and WLAN networks. With the UMA technology found on the Nokia 6136, operators can deliver voice and data services to subscribers over WLAN access networks, dramatically increasing mobile service availability while decreasing the costs related to network deployment. F-Secure and Nokia today announced that F-Secure Mobile Anti-Virus will be available through Nokia to the users of four recently announced devices based on S60 3rd Edition - Nokia N71, Nokia E60, Nokia E61 and Nokia E70.
