Nokia and Yahoo! announced that they are making it easy for mobile photographers to upload and add comments to photos directly from their Nokia Nseries multimedia computers to Flickr.
Consumers will be able to connect to their online Flickr accounts without the need to download or install any additional applications. The Nokia N93, Nokia N73 and Nokia N72, also announced today, are the first Nokia Nseries devices to support Flickr.

Nokia today unveiled the Nokia N73, a photography-featured phone with integrated stereo speakers and 3D sound. In addition to a large 2.4-inch display, the N73 includes a 3.2-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, auto-focus, and support for Internet communities like Flickr.

Motorola today unveiled StudioMOTO, a free online music studio that lets users create their own ringtones and videos for their cell phone.
By overlaying a list of club-style drum loops, users can create their own unique sound. Visitors can also mix and match footage from select artists to produce their own mobile video clips. Artists include Bang Sugar Bang, Dave the Hustler, Paco and The 88. Once created, these videos can be shared with friends via email or saved on the users' GSM handset.

Driver inattention is the leading factor in most crashes and near-crashes, according to a research report released today by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Virginia Tech Transportation Institute (VTTI).
Nearly 80 percent of crashes and 65 percent of near-crashes involved some form of driver inattention within three seconds before the event. Primary causes of driver inattention are distracting activities, such as cell phone use, and drowsiness.

Motorola has patented a system that allows a cell phone to set off electrodes on a stimulator pad, alerting users of incoming calls.
According to the patent application, current cell phones have tried to silently notify a wearer through a vibrating alert, but often times are still unintentionally distracting to others. As many as 25 million wireless subscribers in North America could be using their cell phones as mobile wallets by 2011, reports In-Stat.
Unlike M-commerce, the mobile transaction concept touted in the 1990s that never took hold, the mobile wallet is a much more versatile application that includes elements of mobile transactions, as well as other items one may find in a wallet, such as membership cards, loyalty cards, and other forms of identification.

Samsung today announced the development of the 2GB MMCmicro card, the fastest and highest capacity mobile phone memory card.

Paris Hilton fans can now party with the socialite heiress this summer - or at least on their cell phones - as Gameloft releases its latest mobile game to tap into public yearnings for a piece of their idols' lives.
