T-Mobile today began offering a new service to connect parents and kids on their own terms.
By both controlling wireless costs and providing certain unlimited features, kidConnect gives parents peace of mind, while enabling kids to communicate the way they want. T-Mobile's kidConnect provides the following:
- Unlimited calling between parent and child (via unlimited, nationwide mobile-to-mobile calling with other T-Mobile subscribers)
- Unlimited nationwide weekend calling

Motorola today announced the signing of David Beckham as a global brand ambassador. The three-year collaboration with the professional footballer will kick-off with major activities across Asia including advertising appearances and extensive retail promotions rolled out across the network of Motorola stores and distributors throughout the region.
Beckham will begin his brand ambassador role immediately and will be seen exclusively carrying Motorola products during the upcoming World Cup campaign. The deal also includes the ability to embed exclusive Beckham content - such as screen savers and video clips of the star in action - in Motorola handsets.

For the sixth consecutive year, Cingular's annual survey on wireless usage reveals that men talk 16 percent more on their wireless phones each month than women.
This year's survey revealed that men talk an average of 546 minutes per month on their cell phones, compared to 470 minutes per month for women. The gender gap however has closed considerably over the last year. In 2005, men used their wireless phones an average of 571 minutes per month compared to 424 minutes per month for women. Cle... Live mobile TV broadcasts will be aired to Nokia N92 mobile devices, and other DVB-H enabled devices, in a pilot project run by the German mobile network operators E-Plus, O2, T-Mobile and Vodafone this summer.
The pilot started in Berlin, Hamburg, Hanover and Munich and will run until August 31 except Munich where the pilot ends on July 31, 2006. Verizon Wireless today launched a wireless service that lets parents check their children's whereabouts. Based on Global Positioning System (GPS) data, the Chaperone service also lets parents set up geographic limits and receive text alerts if their children, who also carry phones, go too far from home.

As the latest music phone from Sprint, the LG Fusic one of the next-generation devices to offer music and entertainment services packaged in a progressive design.

Samsung announced today that it has developed the industry's first 1.98-inch LCD panel to achieve VGA resolution, using the company's amorphous silicon (a-Si) technology. Mobile phones equipped with this new, display will be able to show Windows screens and documents with the same VGA quality that is provided by most desktop or notebook PCs.
The new mobile LCD panel is being displayed at the SID 2006 Conference in San Francisco June 6 through June 8. The World Cup in Germany this month will provide the catalyst for TV services on cell phones, but real growth will occur over the next five years, an industry report said today.
