T-Mobile today began distributing an Over-the-Air (OTA) software update for the Sidekick 3. Over the next month, the OTA update (officially called Release 3.4) will provide a variety of enhancements including the ability for T-Mobile Sidekick users to get myFaves on their device, when they choose a myFaves plan. Consumers are more receptive to receiving advertisements on their cell phones, according to new findings from Harris Interactive. The study examined current levels of consumer interest in mobile phone advertisements, preferred advertising formats and the willingness of consumers to be profiled.

TiVo and Verizon Wireless today announced the availability of TiVo Mobile scheduling, a downloadable application that allows subscribers to use select mobile phones to schedule recordings on their TiVo Series2 or Series3 TiVo boxes.

Samsung Electronics announced the collaboration of its Ultra Music (SGH-F300) with Beyonce Knowles. The Samsung Ultra Music F300 offers a dual-face handset design. On one side is a large, clear screen with a sweep touch key that makes music control intuitive. Flip over to the other side and it's a Samsung phone.
