Nokia Alerts Users to Save Energy

In an effort to encourage consumers to save electricity, Nokia has launched phones with alerts informing users to unplug the charger once the battery is full. Nokia decided to put the alerts into mass markets products first to help maximize the potential energy savings. Pantech today announced the launch of the IM-R200 handset, a dual-LCD sliding phone equipped with an OLED touch-sensitive screen. Separated from its main LCD display, the IM-R200 does away with the standard keypad in favor of a brand-new LCD-typed keypad. When sliding up, the virtual keypad shows up on the LCD that is touch-sensitive, allowing users to dial numbers and view contacts with a stroke of a finger.
