Nokia today revealed the Nokia 7500 Prism, aimed at style-conscious consumers. Combining individual style and state-of-the-art technology, the Nokia 7500 Prism's slick black exterior is spliced with bright, interchangeable color accents.
As the Nokia 7900 Prism's quirky sibling, the Nokia 7500 Prism has a 2.0-megapixel camera to record high-quality movies. Also able to play music for nine hours, the 7500 Prism holds up to 1500 songs on an optional 2 GB microSD card.

Motorola's poor second-quarter performance in the global mobile handset market helped boost the results of its competitors, most notably Samsung Electronics, according to a preliminary ranking from iSuppli.
In the second quarter, Motorola of the United States shipped 35.5 million mobile handsets, a 21.8 percent decline from 45.4 million in the first quarter of 2007. Cell phone giant Nokia will start to use Microsoft's copy protection software to boost the use of wireless entertainment, like music and videos, the two companies said today.
Microsoft's PlayReady technology allows users of Nokia cell phones to share protected pieces of content - like music, games or videos - between phones, PCs and other devices. Nokia will license the digital rights management (DRM) technology, and build it into its S60 software platform.

Google has invested hundreds of millions of dollars in a prototype cell phone that could reach markets within a year, and is courting U.S. and European mobile operators, The Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday.

NBC Universal will present nine channels on Verizon's VCAST service, showcasing a wide range of content through short video clips, the companies said Tuesday.
