Verizon Wireless today announced the LG Chocolate 3, the latest version of the Chocolate mobile music series featuring a new clamshell design.
Trading in its slider form factor for a slim flip style, the Chocolate 3 is designed with a control wheel on the outside. It offers a built-in music player and FM transmitter to play music through a car stereo. Users can listen through dual speakers or Bluetooth stereo headphones.
An integrated 2.0-megapixel camera captures photos and video.

Verizon Wireless today unveiled the LG Decoy, a multi-tasking slider with a built-in Bluetooth headset.
Designed with a glossy mirror-like front and satin back finish, the Decoy is the world's first phone to have a detachable Bluetooth handsfree headset integrated into the design. The headset slips into the back for easy transport and charging.

Verizon Wireless today announced the LG Dare, a touch screen business phone similar to the iPhone.
Users can navigate the menu with flick of a finger. They can flip through the contact list for speedy texting, emailing and phoning. Favorites can be reached with a drag and drop photo interface.
Featuring 3G VCAST capabilities, the handheld supports VCAST Music to download from over 2 million songs and VCAST Video to stream entertainment clips, sports highlights, breaking news and weather.

Apple today introduced MobileMe, an Internet service that pushes email, contacts and calendars to applications on the iPhone, iPod touch, Macs and PCs.
The new service offers a desktop-like experience through any browser. "Think of MobileMe as 'Exchange for the rest of us,'" said Steve Jobs, Apple CEO. "Now users who are not part of an enterprise that runs Exchange can get the same push email, push calendars and push contacts that the big guys get."

Apple today unveiled its iPhone 3G with a faster Internet connection and GPS capabilities. The new quad-band device gives users fast Internet access over tri-band HSDPA. Automatically switches between 3G, Wi-Fi and EDGE, the iPhone 3G makes it easy to multi-task with simultaneous voice and data communications.

Korean-handset maker Samsung today announced its Omnia (SGH-i900), a business device similar to the Apple iPhone, running on Windows Mobile 6.1.
The Omnia has a slender 12.5mm profile, platinum-look finish and elegant hairline patterns on the back. The centerpiece is a 3.2-inch WQVGA (240 x 400 px) touch screen from Synaptics. French fashion-house Christian Dior has teamed up with Swiss-jeweler Swarovski to create a crystal-studded version of its new "My Dior" luxury phone.
Dubbed the "Lady Dior," the crocodile skin exterior is inlaid with 640 stones of 3251 carats of Swarovski crystals. T-Mobile is collaborating with pro skateboarder Tony Hawk to create a limited edition T-Mobile Sidekick LX, putting a personal design by giving it a skateboard look.
The bottom cover of the device resembles the top of a skateboard, including a texture like grip-tape and eight simulated screws. Finnish-phone giant Nokia today announced its Nokia 8800 Diamond, a limited edition diamond-laced mobile phone created in partnership with Norwegian-jeweler Thomas Heyerdahl.
Diamonds highlight an already simple, clean and sophisticated design, according to Thomas Heyerdahl. Limited to 100 individually-numbered copies, the 8800 Diamond is covered with 112 United Nations-approved diamonds, totaling 0.7 carats.

Verizon Wireless said today it would buy rural mobile carrier Alltel for $28.1 billion, including debt, to leapfrog AT&T and become the biggest U.S. wireless group.
