This Thursday at CeBIT, Motorola plans to announce the first handsets that will carry Apple's popular iTunes music software; hoping to get a jump on the newest competitive arena of cell phones capable of playing music.
Motorola CEO Ed Zander forged an alliance with old pal and Apple CEO Steve Jobs last year to capitalize on the growing shift to music phones in 2005 from the saturated market of camera phones of 2004.
Earlier reports expect the Motorola ROKR to be the first iTunes compatible phone, hoping to continue the success of its four-letter models such as the RAZR.
