To bring seamless communications to consumers, these exciting new handsets from Motorola package the latest wireless offerings and technology innovations such as EDGE (Enhanced Data for Global Evolution) for faster downloading, Push-to-Talk over cellular (PoC) for speedy communication with friends, and video capture and playback, into two stylish must-have designs. The Motorola V360 and V235 are perfect for socially-active consumers whose mobiles are always at hand both at work and play, and who demand a full range of features at an affordable price.

"With the introduction of these two new handsets we are ensuring that we have a great portfolio that offers something for everyone," said Greg Estell, Vice President and General Manager, Motorola Mobile Devices, Europe. "From high end feature rich, or design classic handsets, to the more mass market and value driven, this announcement clearly demonstrates we can play in all areas and deliver quality and innovation at all tiers of the market."

Housed in a slim clam-shell design with internal antenna, the smooth V360 is a power-house of functions to make the most of people’s time in the office or on the move. For fun, this flexible handset lets you capture still shots via an integrated VGA camera, moving images with the video capture and playback feature - all of which can then be reviewed on the super-sharp colour display. An integrated MP3 player and optional TransFlash memory card ensures ample room to store and play your favourite song files, and PC charging ensures the functions on this handset will never stop working. The remaining features maximise personal flexibility, including fast connectivity with PoC, increased mobility with Bluetooth connectivity, and high speed downloading capabilities with EDGE technology ensuring that piece of necessary information is always on-hand.

Just snap a photo or shoot a video and then edit using Motorola picture editing software before sharing via Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS). With ample user available memory, you can always relive your favourite experience. Leveraging the power of EDGE the V235 ensures that messages are sent with speed, downloads are painless and internet access a breeze. Additional features include speakerphone for those conversations that just have to be broadcast, and PoC for urgent messages with friends. MP3 / AAC ring-tones, and powerful talk and standby times complete this function packed clam-shell.

The Motorola V235 and V360 are expected to be available in 2H of 2005.
