In addition to its inspiring design, the Ultimate Canada Smartphone sings, reads, and plays red and white through a collection of pre-loaded Canadian applications and downloads, including:
- Music by Arcade Fire, k-os, Oscar Peterson and Neil Young
- e-book "The Oryx and Crake" by Margaret Atwood
- Audio books "Life of Pi" by Yann Martel and "A History of Ice Hockey" by Greg Proops
- Ringtone "Summer of '69" by Bryan Adams
- Mobile Air Hockey game
- Text to "O Canada"
- Canadian Donuts, an application that locates the nearest donut shop for road-weary warriors.
Launched in Canada in mid March, the Treo 650 smartphone is the first all-in-one, quad-band smartphone to utilize the EDGE (Enhanced Data for Global Evolution) network from Rogers Wireless. The Treo 650 combines a compact, full-featured worldphone with out-of-the-box email, a Palm OS organizer, messaging, web access, video capture, digital camera and MP3 player, enabling users to organize and simplify their business and personal lives.
Bids for the Ultimate Canada Smartphone at www.canadasmartphone.com will be accepted until 12 p.m. EST on Thursday, April 14.
