The LG VX8100, introduced in July, can now be upgraded at any Verizon Wireless location to include MP3 capability.
Originally released with the function disabled, music function keys along the front panel were non-functional. Customers who purchased phone will be able to bring it to a Verizon store and get MP3 players installed in the devices.
New devices sold will have the music capabilities enabled. The LG VX8100 is currently available through Mobiledia for free after $200 in rebates.
