The portfolio, displayed at the CTIA Wireless I.T. & Entertainment 2005 trade show, showcases Kyocera's renowned ability to create feature-rich, affordable and easy-to-operate CDMA mobile handsets for a wide range of users. Kyocera's new handsets include the Kyocera Xcursion KX160 clamshell cameraphone featuring Bluetooth wireless technology, a new version of the Kyocera Slider Remix KX5 that adds Bluetooth functionality, and the Kyocera KX12, a ruggedized walkie-talkie device. Kyocera also introduced a number of new accessories with Bluetooth wireless technology for hands-free communication - including a headset, an installed hands-free car kit and a portable hands-free car kit - in addition to a music controller with stereo headset, a Push-to-Talk headset and a walkie-talkie dispatch button.

"Kyocera has continued to incorporate entertainment and productivity features into our proven designs while adding key usability features like Bluetooth that our customers demand," said Tsuyoshi Mano, president of Kyocera Wireless Corp. "Striving to further enhance the mobile experience, accessories continue to be an area of innovation and growth for our company as you'll see with the wide range of new products being displayed at Wireless IT. Whether designing handsets or accessories, the goal is always to provide the easiest wireless experience for our wide range of entertainment-focused, business or voice-centric consumers."

Kyocera Xcursion KX160

A new clamshell from Kyocera Wireless, the Xcursion KX160 features Bluetooth wireless technology for hands-free talking as well as a VGA camera with flash, 5x digital zoom and dedicated external camera buttons, all in a stylish compact design. For optimal content viewing, the handset features both a large internal color display (128x160 pixels) and a color external display (96x64 pixels) with picture caller ID functionality.

The intuitive, easy-to-use camera on the Xcursion features many extras for capturing those spontaneous moments, including multi-shot adjustment, self-timer, color effects and fun frames. The 5x digital zoom can be easily adjusted from 160x120 pixels to 640x480 pixels as well.

With a powerful speakerphone, voice-activated dialing and vibrate alert, this mobile phone also includes MMS messaging with pictures, graphics, sounds and fonts, BREW 2.1 for downloads of the latest games, ringers, contacts and more, contact directory, predictive text input for rapid texting, WAP 2.0 web browser and productivity tools such as scheduler, calculator, alarm clock, stopwatch, tip calculator, countdown timer, world clock and voice memos.

Measuring 1.89 in x 3.54 in x .98 in and weighing 4.1 ounces, the Kyocera Xcursion KX160 with Bluetooth is slated to be available globally with CDMA carriers in November 2005.

Kyocera Slider Remix KX5 (Bluetooth)

Kyocera's popular music-centric Slider Remix KX5 handset, announced at the CTIA Wireless trade show in March 2005, will now be offered with Bluetooth wireless technology for hours of hands-free talking. The Kyocera Slider Remix KX5, a continuation of Kyocera's popular line of sliding phones, unites a digital music player, 1.3 megapixel camera and enhanced gaming capabilities with a large, vibrant color screen on the phone's signature sliding faceplate. Slider Remix KX5 also features an expandable memory slot for microSD cards up to 512MB, providing hours of listening at the gym, on the subway or in the office. The removable memory card also allows the latest songs (MP3 or AAC formats) to be easily shared between the phone and other devices.

Measuring 1.88 in x 3.85 in x .86 in and weighing 3.88 ounces, the Kyocera Slider Remix KX5 with Bluetooth wireless technology will be available globally with CDMA carriers in November 2005.

Kyocera KX12

The Kyocera KX12 walkie-talkie handset was created for on-the-go communication that comes with today's most dynamic lifestyles. This rugged water- and dust-resistant design with integrated flashlight helps ensure users can stay in touch in a variety of outdoor situations. Its dedicated walkie-talkie buttons and front-ported loudspeaker ensure ease of use and clear, higher-quality sound. The high-capacity battery gives users more walkie-talkie and talk time and the internal antenna, rubberized side grips and back tread allow for easy gripping. The KX12's large, vivid 128x128 pixel color display and brilliant-blue backlit keypad allow for easier viewing in harsh light or at night.

Kyocera's new walkie-talkie handsets supports multiple CDMA push-to-talk software clients for maximum reliability with a variety of carriers. And, like many Kyocera phones, KX12 comes with a robust contact directory, predictive text-input software for rapid text entry, vibrate alert, productivity tools including scheduler, calculator and world clock, polyphonic ringtones, wallpapers, screensavers, picture caller ID and games, language support for English, Spanish, Portuguese and French, WAP 2.0 browser for web access and BREW 2.1 or Java capability.

Measuring 1.93 in x 4.33 in x .98 in and weighing 4.0 ounces, the Kyocera KX12 will be available globally with CDMA carriers in Q1 2006.
