Baracoda, the leading provider of Bluetooth barcode scanning solutions for mobile data capture, and Sprint announced today the availability of the Baracoda RoadRunners Scanner (BRR-L) for its iDEN-based wireless devices.
The Sprint solution, incorporating the Baracoda RoadRunners Scanner and the included protective boot accessory to provide additional shock resistance, will operate in conjunction with the Motorola i605 and the BlackBerry 7520 from Nextel, targeting construction, field services, professional services and real estate industries. The solution will be available next month through Sprint business sales channels.
Baracoda's latest Bluetooth-enabled barcode scanner was selected from a number of solutions by Sprint based on attributes including optimized form factor, ease of integration and advanced technical capability. The Baracoda RoadRunners Scanner is compact, light and designed for convenient transport and easy maneuvering in tight spaces.
The scanner offers robust scanning capability, powerful battery performance and wide platform support. By applying its Bluetooth wireless technology expertise, Baracoda has developed a more reliable and functional solution with Baracoda RoadRunners Scanner. Because Baracoda provides free access to APIs on its web site, Sprint's solutions partners will be able to integrate overnight wireless data capture solutions within their applications without having to develop an expertise in either Bluetooth or barcode scanning.
