T-Mobile Launches Samsung T809 Ultra-Thin Slider

Sat Dec 10, 2005 7:35 pm

Samsung and T-Mobile pulled back the curtain on the highly anticipated T809, revealing an amazingly fashionable and ultra-slim phone packed with a vibrant screen, numerous music and multimedia features and Bluetooth wireless technology. Available in time for holiday shoppers exclusively through T-Mobile on Monday, December 12, the slender black-shelled phone is thin enough to fit into consumers' pockets, but the phone's rich multimedia capabilities will ensure it doesn't stay hidden away for long.

The T809's sleek, flat design and large, full-color screen creates a striking first impression, resembling the look and feel of high-end plasma televisions. The elegant slider phone features an MP3 and video player supported by external stereo speakers that deliver a rich sound.

Using the T809's 1.3 megapixel camera and video capture, consumers can capture pictures and record video clips of important moments, as well as transfer their favorite tunes in MP3 format, to the removable TransFlash memory card. The T809 also gives consumers an internal memory of 70MB for storing their favorite music, movies, video and images.

"The T809 sets the bar for superb design and technology integration, and we're excited to provide such an appealing and exclusive device for T-Mobile this holiday season," said Peter Skarzynski, senior vice president of Samsung's wireless division. "This sharp-looking device is an indication of how Samsung will continue to develop the most sought after phones on the market."

"From its remarkable screen display and thin design to its easy to use communication and multimedia features, this unique slider phone is sure to top holiday wish lists," said Michael Gallelli, director and head of product marketing, T-Mobile USA, "But make sure your gift givers know that only T-Mobile's got it."
