Verizon Wireless is teaming up with NBC Mobile to bring video segments of "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" to customers' VCAST-enabled phones.
Starting today, VCAST customers can access the best of "Tonight" in the palm of their hands and get all the laughs from Jay's weeknight monologues and comedy sketch favorites. From the streets of L.A. in "Jaywalking," weekly "Headlines," and street correspondent pieces, fans won't miss a beat from the #1 show in late night television. With a few clicks on their phone's keypad, VCAST customers can access a total of four features at any given time, two of which will be refreshed daily.
"NBC Universal has built a great relationship with Verizon Wireless with mobile original news programming on VCAST," said Salil Dalvi, vice president, NBC Mobile. "We are happy that their customers will now have access to the number one show in late night."
Bill Stone, vice president of marketing for Verizon Wireless, noted "VCAST customers have enjoyed the latest NBC content since the service launched nearly a year ago. With the addition of excerpts of Jay Leno's popular monologues and other segments from the top show in late night, our customers have another way to enjoy their favorite television programming on their wireless phones."
VCAST from Verizon Wireless allows customers to view crystal clear video clips from the hottest names in entertainment, news, sports and more in the palms of their hands. VCAST is available to more than 140 million Americans in 171 major metropolitan markets and 68 primary airports, giving VCAST customers the ability to laugh with Leno from coast to coast.
