The Cingular 2125 Smartphone, Cingular's first company-branded B2B device, provides the marketplace with an affordable, converged high-speed, global wireless communications device. Built by HTC, the respected Taiwanese wireless device manufacturer, the Cingular 2125 gives customers the best in connectivity, productivity, and mobility with Windows Mobile 5.0, Bluetooth support, quad-band international roaming and support for EDGE, the largest national high-speed wireless data network in the U.S. Cingular's nationwide EDGE network is available in 13,000 cities and towns and along nearly 40,000 miles of major highways.

"The Cingular 2125 Smartphone gives our customers a cost-effective, feature-packed solution that meets their needs, whether they're a larger company engaged in global business communications or an individual wanting a superior, high-speed e-mail and Web browsing experience," said Jeff Bradley, vice president, business data services, for Cingular Wireless. "It comes with the latest innovations to the Windows Mobile operating environment built in. This sets the stage for Cingular to bring to market later this year a new and eagerly anticipated addition to its industry-leading e-mail portfolio, the Microsoft Messaging and Security Feature Pack featuring direct push e-mail technology."

With the Cingular 2125 Smartphone mobile professionals can easily integrate with leading corporate and personal email applications integrated on the phone such as Microsoft Office Outlook Mobile and Microsoft Exchange Server, GoodLink from Good Technology, Cingular Xpress Mail and MSN Hotmail. In addition to e-mail the Cingular 2125 features popular wireless messaging applications including MSN Messenger and Cingular's multimedia messaging service (MMS).

Expanded Office Mobile Functionality

Powered by Microsoft's newest mobile operating system, Windows Mobile 5.0, the Cingular 2125 Smartphone will be upgradeable for the Messaging and Security Feature Pack featuring direct push e-mail technology when launched by Cingular in the first half of 2006. Cingular 2125 users will also benefit from Windows Mobile persistent memory storage as it retains information even when the device's battery is depleted.

The Cingular 2125 also provides a rich multimedia experience to enjoy music and video featuring an integrated multimedia suite with Windows Media Player 10 Mobile, stereo headset jack, and 1.3 megapixel camera. The device supports multiple audio formats including MP3, AMR, AAC, WAV and WMA, as well as MPEG-4 video streaming. A mini-SD expansion card slot allows the user to add memory for storing music, games, photos and video.

"The Cingular-branded 2125 Smartphone is an example of how Windows Mobile 5.0 can create a flexible, powerful phone that helps mobile information workers access their most essential business data in a compact form factor," said Suzan DelBene, corporate vice president of marketing for the Mobile and Embedded Devices Division at Microsoft Corp. "Windows Mobile enables our industry partners to customize devices according to their customers' needs while including productivity features such as access to e-mail, contacts, calendar and other critical business information for mobile workers on the go."

Wide-Reaching Global Experience

The Cingular 2125 Smartphone is a GSM quad-band (850/900/1800/1900 MHz) "world phone" that leverages Cingular's roaming agreements with carriers in more than 165 countries for voice and 95 countries for data to provide users with a wide-ranging international communications capability.

The Cingular 2125 boasts a sleek design - 4.32 inches (L) x 1.84 inches (W) x 3/4 inch (T) - and is lightweight at 3.71 ounces, including battery pack. On board the Cingular 2125 is powered by a TI OMAP 850 200 MHz Processor, with 64MB SDRAM / 64MB Flash ROM. The device features a 2.2" QVGA 64K Color TFT Screen and comes with Windows Media Player 10 Mobile, stereo headset jack, 1.3 Megapixel Camera with Camcorder, Bluetooth 1.2, Infrared and Mini-USB connectivity. A 1150mAh Lithium-ion battery provides up to four hours talk and up to six days standby time.
