Hitting store shelves this season, the SLVR L7 is the next ultra-thin product to be released from Motorola's fashion-forward portfolio.

Featuring a block form factor that's even slimmer than the RAZR, the 11.5 mm-thin SLVR weighs just 86 grams. Integrated with Apple's popular iTunes software, consumers will be able to load up to 100 songs for hours of musical enjoyment. Supplied with a 176 x 220 px TFT screen displaying up to 262K colors, a built-in VGA camera with 4x zoom and video capture and playback ensure shutterbugs never miss a beat.

Rounding out the features with Bluetooth Class 2 wireless connectivity, J2ME downloadable games, and AOL, ICQ, and Yahoo! instant messaging chat, Motorola managed to pack a long list of multimedia features into a uniquely thin device.

Released on Cingular's network, Motorola still hopes the SLVR will achieve the same golden touch it did with the RAZR a year ago.

This is the most beautiful phone I've ever seen! Why does only Cingular get the great phones?!?

It's already out, Cingular released it last week. But it'll cost you an arm and a leg. The SLVR is just a pretty face on last year's phone. At $200 + plan I think I'll pass on this one.

It has nothing good as far as specs go...

How can you say that? I rather have the itunes player and the 512 memory stick with my phone. which the slvr has. and i dont icon_sad.gif . Damn near everyone has the darn Razr(including me). It still has that sleek look to it and its still thin, Think of it as a upgraded non flip razr phone

here is what I mean.

It has speakers capable of playing only 24 chord polyphonic melodies when there are phones out there that play 64, even 72 chords.

Small screen.

No EDGE No 3G No Wi-Fi.

VGA (0.3MP) camera..... now this one is just plain rediculous. For a phone that comes out this year... crazy.

No infrared

No FM radio

4hr battery life - should have been at lest 6, better even 8hrs with those specs.

Good things are the blue tooth and the memory card slot.

I like the design of it. I thought of getting it until I saw the specs, then I got disappointed big time. icon_frown.gif
If they do the same as the did with the RAZR - come up with equivalents of RAZRV3x and V3i, I might get one, but the way it is I just don't like it.

Another beautiful disappointment from Motorola.

I really wanted this phone... I went through 2 RAZRs already; too damn flimsy... I think I'll stick with my A630 for now; save money.
