yeah most is the same, but adding a minisd slot is HUGE! it opens up all the features the v3c was limited to. vcast music is nice too

That's nice and all, but why would someone need more space on a cellphone? Even if it's a PDA cellphone, what's the point? Get an Ipod if you want to play music- the more features they cram into a phone, the more there is to get in the way and break.
BTW, my V3 plays MP3s, it just doesn't say so in the specs.
I do sorta like the 1.3MP camera though.

without the microsd slot, the phone doesnt have enough room for mp3s, videos, etc. even though the v3c could play mp3s, only a few songs could be stored in its memory.

Although there are only a few improvements, I think they're pretty significant. You can't do much without memory.

It's available in certain zip codes right now. Expect it to be available in stores within the next week or so... when the V3c is sold out.

I called verizon today and the rep. said that the v3m will NOT play mp3s. It will only play music through vcast. This really sucks. Did anyone else try calling verizon and getting the same response? I just hope the rep. is mistaken.

The V3m does not play MP3's It will play WMA's. Because Verizon's Vcast music uses a special version of windows media player, Verizon made the new players only play in WMA format.

According to the manual (I know, it's cheating to read the manual), the V3M plays only WMA files, HOWEVER, if you have MP3's in your library, it will convert them on the fly when you download them to your phone. This assumes you are using Verizon's "Music Essentials" software in conjuction with Windows Media Player 10.

I just got the V3M about 3 days ago, and I love it except one thing.
The battery life SUCKS. Did I maybe recieve a lemon battery? I pull it out of the charger around 10am, and then by 6-7pm it's beeping saying "low battery".
I used little talk time (maybe about a total of 45 min) with off and on bluetooth. The rest of the time it was on standby.
According to another website the V3C has 14.5 days standby time, and 3 1/2 hours talk time. Should that apply for the V3M also?
If this continues I might decide to return the phone as I have a 15-day return policy. Is it the phone or the battery?
Thanks

I just got mine last week. Battery life is pretty good of talking or standby, but if I'm browsing ringtones and such with the backlight, it goes downhill real fast!

Yeah, I returned mine yesterday. The LG VX8300 is a MUCH better phone. You have a million more options, up to and including ways of customization.
Much better choice.
Do yourself a favor - ditch the razor while you still have your 15-day return period.

As a Verizon customer, I'm being offered a free upgrade from my Samsung a670 to the Razr V3m.
I don't intend to use it for a music player or use other special features. If the battery life or signal strength is worse than what I have now, I'm not interested.
Anybody have any advice for me?

I have had the Razr for about 10 days and like everything about it EXCEPT the battery life. Standby time, without ever talking on it, is about 8 hours (as opposed to the 325 hours published on the Verizon site).
I has a Samsung A670 before and had a minimum of 24 hour standby time.
I am very frustrated with the battery and Verizon will not answer my questions about the battery rating published. I have to decide whether to return this phone in the next couple of days.
My dilemma is, this phone is a very big seller, does everyone have the same poor battery performance and they all just accept it?

If you mean the bog standard v3 then yes but the storage space is sufficient for maybe 2 or 3 songs max and there is no expansion.
If you mean the V3b, c, i, m, r, s, t or x then please say so - each is different
