Cingular Wireless and Research In Motion (RIM) today unveiled the new BlackBerry 7130c, offering a slimmer, narrower phone-like design to appeal to the broader range of consumers.
Allowing users to stay connected, the BlackBerry 7130c combines a full featured phone with wireless high-speed access to email, text messaging, Web, organizer, and applications. Premium phone features are delivered including smart dialing, conference calling, speed dial, call forwarding, polyphonic and MP3 ringtones, as well as speakerphone and Bluetooth support to ensure wide compatibility with handsfree headsets and car kits.
It also features a large, brilliant 240 x 260 px color LCD screen that supports more than 65K-colors, delivers vivid graphics and features an intelligent light sensing technology that automatically adjusts screen and keyboard lighting to provide an optimized view in outdoor, indoor and dark environments.
The BlackBerry handset is powered by Cingular's nationwide EDGE network, the largest high-speed national wireless data network in the U.S. with availability in 13,000 cities and towns and nearly 40,000 miles of major highways. Customers will also be able to use the quad-band BlackBerry 7130c in more than 170 countries for voice and over 100 countries for data. With the optimized device platform, integrated EDGE capabilities, Intel processor, 64 MB flash memory and 16 MB SDRAM, BlackBerry 7130c users will experience noticeably faster Web browsing, application performance and attachment viewing.
Cingular's BlackBerry Personal Plan includes BlackBerry Internet Service which optimizes the personal email experience. BlackBerry Internet Service provides customers with the ability to have their personal email pushed to their BlackBerry 7130c automatically from most popular Internet Service Provider (ISP) email accounts. The solution provides automatic and wireless synchronization of read, deleted and sent email from the user's BlackBerry handset to their email account. Users with multiple email accounts can choose from multiple "sent from" email addresses when sending an email. Customers can also browse the Web wirelessly via Cingular's popular MEdia Net wireless Internet access service or use the BlackBerry Browser for HTML Internet browsing.
The BlackBerry 7130c is available for as low as $199.99 with a two-year contract and qualified voice plan.

RIM keeps getting better and better at designing phones. This one looks sweet! Nothing like those blue boxes in the past.

I just want to know when blackberry is going to make a phone with a camera in it. I don't see why they can't just put a camera in one model. Being a cingular customer, I am pissed that they dont have anything like the sidekick or the treo 700 that has all these features and a camera. Also I can't believe neither the treo 700w or 700p are available for cingular. Also I don't like the fact that this phone doesn't have a full 35 keyboard.

The BB are for business users. You don't really need a camera to make appointments and read emails. It would just add problems to the phone, slow it down and take up more precious memory. I'm actually happy that it does not have a camera.
