The QWERTY keyboard has the same keyboard layout used in personal computers, enabling users to send emails and text messages far more conveniently; such a fun and simple methodology proved to be a huge success amongst consumers in the U.S. and Europe.
The I320 operates with Windows Mobile 5.0 Smartphone Operating System to provide users with a familiar interface that is easy to navigate and use. It allows users to write and store texts, exchange emails in real-time, type memos, and more.
Functions supported by the ultra-thin I320 are especially useful for users who want to chat, read, and send emails from their mobiles. It features an embedded instant messaging program and mobile mail functions to enable users to send and receive photos, music and a variety of multi-media messages.
The phone has a large 2.2-inch LCD screen with 1.3-megapixel resolution camera, along with multimedia entertainment functions such as Bluetooth and high-quality dual speakers.
The I320 is ideal for users who want to have all of the advanced features of a smartphone in a light and slim package for convenience and style.
The SGH-I320 will be launched in Europe this month. The following launches will take place throughout the rest of Europe and South East Asia shortly.

Samsung is always following Motorola. This is a direct ripoff of the Q hands down. Cmon Samsung, get some creativity!

usually samsung adds improvements over the moto, but in this case it looks pretty average.

Looks nice...but then again, like mgoblue pointed out, it's just a Q but from a different manufacturer. I like Samsung's, but it's starting to become tiresome when their new phones look like regurgitated models from another brand.

It does look just like the Q but I like the fact that its black and smaller than the Q. In my opinion this ones better then the Q because of the fact that its slim like the Q but not nearly as big.

I don't know what the big deal with slim smartphones are. It's not that big of a market, yet companies are pushing it like its a big deal. Most people are going to buy a regular non-PDA phone.

Sound do well. Unlike Moto, Nokia has a huge following overseas.

I really don't care if it is a knock off. If it's able to do the job better in a smaller package than the Q then I'll buy it.

specs show it does not use the 850 band ... therefore the handset will prob not be picked up in USA by GSM carriers (not Cingular or TMobile) without further modification by Samsung. May work in limited way if imported. Alternate version may be released if it does well in first markets abroad. USA gets all cell phones last anyway. Expensive handset must be subsidized by expensive data plan ... so even if TMo eventually picks it up it won't be cheap to own.
Am I the only one who wants a cheap-ish slim phone with qwerty just for texting and not mad office apps?

Are you kidding me Samsung copy moto. Moto copied RIM when they made the Q....it looks exactly like a smaller slimmer 8700. They even took RIM's signature with the track wheel. But hey thanks for the laugh
