All these nextel phones are big, bulky, and ugly.

People who buy the Nextel phones aren't looking for sexy. They want something that can be tossed around and dropped without breaking.

The i580 is going to be a big hit with people who work in harsh environments like construction. The camera will definitely come in handy.

And you think your BB 8700c isn't bulky? I agree. These phones aren't for people who want to show off their phones because it looks good. Nextels take a lot of punishment. Some of them aren't THAT bulky. Some of the newer handsets are almost the size of a Moto MPX220.

I agree. They may be ugly, but they're for work. But who says you can make work phones a little prettier?

I have had my i530 for at least 2 years , I work in industrial repair and have to have a rugged phone. My phone has been run over by both a forkliift and a truck , left out in a storm , and fallen off of a car at about 25-30 mph.I am going to buy this new model next week , not because it is sleek & sexy , but because it is functional , well built , and durable.

You can make a phone as small as you want, but that doesn't change the size of your face or hands. The i580 fits comfortably and solidly in your hands, especially if you have gigantic meat paws like a lot of construction workers do.
