VGA camera? You gotta be kidding me. VZW has the 3.2MP Samsung A990 and Sprint comes out with a VGA camera phone?
I guess that's why Sprint customers get shafted on phones.

I took a look at it in the store. Pretty face with nothing much inside. The VGA camera is disappointing, plus it doesn't support Power Vision. Go with the Samsung A900 instead.
Look at it head to head with RAZR. Its almost a dead knock off, even having the lower lip on bottom part to contain the antenna. Poor features, no external music keys and lacks the cool looking keypad of RAZR. Only way this sells to any degree is if sanyo gives Sprint the price of a lifetime, and even then, who knows.

Now that you mention it they both do look strangely similar. Though you can't blame Sanyo I guess...

i went into radio shack today because my mom got a new phone, and i saw the sanyo katana. they had up the blue sapphire for display. i didnt even know that they had other colors. i was really drawn to the phone. i think it's very stylish. and my phones have to be stylish. but i am surprised that it doesnt have more features. and i agree with the person that said it doesnt have the cool keypad that the razr has. for a while, i was practically obsessd with the razr. but i never got one due to sprint's contracts...and if i do get one it wont be until '08. which by then they'll have something better, i'm sure. but then again...the razr IS pretty hard to beat. so anyways i am planning on getting the cherry blossom pink katana. i love pink. and i think it's the closest i can get to a razr with sprint. lol. i really hate the fact that sprint doesn't support razrs. i would give anything for that to happen.

why Sprint Razr-less... To my knowledge it had something to do with business politics, i.e. there was some issue between Sprint and Motorola that caused Sprint to just not take it. At least that's the rumor I've heard.
