Sony Ericsson today announced the Z550a, a quad-band clamshell phone, developed specifically for the Americas market.
Featuring a 1.3-megapixel camera with 4x digital zoom and bright 262K-color display, the Z550a offers plenty of storage for pictures with 25 MB of onboard memory, expandable to 1 GB with Memory Stick Micro (M2) support. Consumers can also share photos using MMS, Bluetooth or email. A thumbnail gallery feature even makes it easy to search for the shots both visually and according to the date they were taken.
The Z550a has full HTML Internet browsing and optional Bluetooth headset and car-handsfree kit for wireless freedom on the move.
