This phone was pulled from store shelves due to a software problem with the Windows Media Player. It won't play copyrighted music due to software issued by Microsoft, but there is a "fix" in the works. Phones will be flashed, and expected back in stores within a week.

Is this why there's no rebate on the Cingular site? I keep seeing it advertised as "$49.99" after rebate, but I can't see a rebate. I'm thinking of trading in my phone (it's been less than 30 days).

The warehouse the website uses may not have received their new inventory yet. Just go to your local store and pick up the rebate form...

I'm getting ready to upgrade. Any comments or recommendations on this phone? How does it compare with the Razor V3xx?

-The Sync supports DRM and has a better camera.
-The V3xx is ready for the faster HSDPA coming down the pipeline.
Overall I've sold alot of both phone, and used both for a few days each. I would go with the v3xx if I was purchasing one.

This is by far the absolute worst phone I've ever owned. When it arrived, it had a sticker on the bottom portion of the phone (conveniently, exactly where you place your hand to hold this phone, or any other phone in existence) that basically says not to cover that area or it may disrupt your signal. real brilliant design =(
