Cingular Wireless today introduced the LG CU400, Cingular's first 3G phone to offer Push-to-Talk (PTT) technology. Giving customers the ability to see whether their friends, family or co-workers are available to talk before they call and to connect instantly, PTT allows customers to talk to one person or a group of up to 30 people at the same time with just a push of a button. Customers also have the flexibility to easily convert a PTT call to a regular mobile call and to store up to 99 contacts.
The LG CU400 also includes an entertainment folder that includes access to pre-loaded games like Tetris and Ms. Pack-Man as well as music capabilities including Music ID, which allows users to identify songs at the touch of a button, The BUZZ to keep consumers up to date on the latest entertainment news and Music Videos to watch the latest videos from artists. In addition to these great entertainment capabilities, customers can also easily access Cingular Video by clicking on the dedicated CV button for the latest in news, sports, weather and more.
The compact design of the CU400 and advanced functionality gives customers the convenience of the latest in voice and entertainment. Integrating the latest in technology, the CU400 offers a built-in VGA camera / camcorder to capture special moments as they happen and a full spectrum of enhanced messaging services, including Mobile email using Yahoo! Mail, MSN Hotmail, and AOL and Instant Messaging capabilities including AIM Instant Messenger, Yahoo! Messenger, and MSN.

I own'd a PTT phone before - but I wasn't digging it.
But I have filed out many of these in Direct Fullfillment - mainly in the Harley market...

Pros:
Nice, but simple design is nice. Large internal screen makes it easy on the eyes so I do not have to strain to see the screen. The keypad buttons are just the right size.
Cons:
External display does not show any kind of background, just a standard caller ID and date and time.
I purchased this phone 12/15/2006, so far no dropped calls or bad reception. The contact list shows several contacts at once, so you so not have to scroll much to reach a number you want to call. The external speaker on the back of the phone is a nice feature, I love being able to close my phone while on speaker phone without the phone hanging up on the person I am talking to. I have been through several phones and this LG is by far the best purchase I have made. The weight of the phone is just right, not too big and bulky and not too small, to where you feel you will drop it each time you pick it up. I do suggest getting a phone cover or swivel case ASAP, this phone is too nice to get scratched up. The ability to set the telephone to Vibrate without having to access the main menu is very convenient for when I enter a building. I do not use PTT so I have nothing to say about this feature. I had to call cingular and have them add on call waiting, but maybe it was just my service.
I had the CU500 prior to this phone and this 400 blows it out of the water!

Why hasn't MobileDia done an in-depth review on this phone yet?
