Sony Ericsson today unveiled the MBR-100 Bluetooth Music Receiver, wirelessly playing music saved on a phone through external speakers.
Consumers can then play it in hi-fi quality by simply plugging the receiver into your hi-fi stereo or a car stereo and streaming the music on a stereo Bluetooth-equipped phone through the speakers.
The MBR-100 comes with 2 different cables, an RCA cable and a 3.5 mm input cable so it can fit almost any audio device at home or in the car. Once the phone is paired to the MBR-100, users simply have to walk into its range to accept an automatic invitation on the phone screen to play music. As the music plays through the speakers, users can use their phone as a remote control, with the ability to play, pause and skip to next track.
Finished in glossy black, the compact, light and portable MBR-100 has a rechargeable battery for portability. The MBR-100 will be available from early Q1 2007.
