Motorola today announced the new RIZR Z6, a slim music slider complete with high performance music experience and picture and video capture capabilities. Crafted with slender proportions, a metallic finish, and a soft touch feel, RIZR Z6 creates a premium aesthetic.
Behind the RIZR Z6's luxurious design is a powerful 2.0-megapixel camera. With multi-mode capabilities, consumers can capture moments in either landscape or portrait and with the slider open or closed. Equipped with a camera light, the RIZR Z6 creates high quality images that can be printed easily on a compatible Bluetooth enabled printer.
Built on Motorola's new Linux-Java software platform, the MOTOMUSIC devices give consumers an easy music sync experience with Windows Media Player on Windows XP and Vista-based PCs. Transfer music quickly with USB 2.0 hi-speed technology and easily with Windows Media Player 11. With an easy to use PC syncing experience, Windows Media Player 11 allows users to drag and drop songs.
Consumers can transfer their CD collection or download individual or subscription tracks from Window Media Player compatible music stores directly to a PC. With up to 2 GB of optional removable microSD memory and 64 MB on board memory, users can store all of their favorite songs and playlists. The RIZR also has a dedicated music key that launches the music library and file sorter making it easy to find music.
The Motorola RIZR Z6 will be the first Motorola handset to include Microsoft Windows Media technologies including Windows Media Digital Rights Management (DRM), Windows Media Audio (WMA) and Media Transfer Protocol (MTP). By supporting MTP, Windows Media Player will automatically recognize the RIZR Z6, letting users quickly and easily sync music from the PC to the phone from over 200 music stores worldwide. The new Motorola RIZR Z6 is expected to be available in the first half of 2007.

Awesome phone, but still no 3G or FM radio!?!? I am still trying to decide between this one and Sony Ericsson's W850i. Love the sliders, love the music capabilities, love the A2DP. But, the 3G is preparing for the future, and what's a music phone with FM radio?
