T-Mobile today announced the T-Mobile Sidekick designed by Dwyane Wade, Miami Heat guard and 2006 NBA Finals MVP. Packed with the same technology as the T-Mobile Sidekick 3, the new D-Wade Edition is the latest in a series of T-Mobile's iconic devices.

Dwyane Wade was integrally involved in the design process, so the finished product reflects the key attributes of his style. Presented in the crisp white color of Miami's South Beach, the T-Mobile Sidekick 3 D-Wade Edition is paired with tan and copper accents that emulate high-end automobiles. Wade's signature "3" stands out as the only detail in gold, symbolizing the NBA championship trophy. The device also debuts another Sidekick first, a realistic basketball-textured backing for added grip and comfort.

The T-Mobile Sidekick 3 provides a variety of communications options, including phone capabilities, built-in support for three major instant messaging clients, personal email and Web browsing. In addition to using the device's voice-calling capabilities, users can get instantaneous access to email, instant messenger (AIM, Yahoo! Messenger and MSN Messenger), and text messaging on the full QWERTY keyboard.

Web-browsing capabilities enhanced with EDGE technology ensures faster downloading speeds. Additional features include a 1.3-megapixel camera, an MP3 player, Bluetooth technology, and trackball for easier navigation.

The T-Mobile Sidekick 3, D-Wade Edition, will be available at select T-Mobile retail locations, select dealers, and online beginning Feb. 21 and continuing while quantities last.

I like the colors used on this one vs the normal sk3. And the phone isn't useless, tmobile/danger are capitalizing on a popular trend right now.

Its a limitede edition phone desnigned by wade himself so I don't see how the 100 is pointless. Look at the gold razr, its a lot more than the other ones.
