The RIZR Z3 also integrates a 2.0-megapixel camera with 8x zoom, high-intensity camera light, landscape view finder and dedicated external camera button, giving users the experience and benefits of a functional digital camera, with the capability to shoot and share photos quickly.

Sharing pictures is simple using T-Mobile's My Album, a personal online album that stores pictures, video and voice messages for easy viewing and sharing. Customers can access the My Album link built into the RIZR Z3, and quickly access their myFaves contacts to send fun picture messages, as well as video, text and instant messages.

Users also can rock to favorite tunes with a built-in music player that supports a variety of audio formats and stereo Bluetooth wireless technology for hands-free listening. Storage space for music, photos or files is expansive, using the microSD slot for up to 2 GB of optional removable memory. The RIZR Z3 is equipped with video capture and playback, quad-band technology and USB 2.0 connectivity for file transfers and data access.

3. Posted by itsajoey Wed Mar 21, 2007 11:39 pm

5. Posted by itsajoey Thu Mar 22, 2007 10:57 pm

haha yea it was just a release notes and all but yea its not the first we all know this.

6. Posted by mdvd Fri Mar 23, 2007 4:31 pm

by the way D807 is not really the first slide phone: samsung D500 is a GSM slide phone.which come out much earlier than the D809 .and I don't even know D500 is the first one or not. for USA probably Tmobile T809 is the first one. and D807 come up after T809 as cingular model icon_alien.gif icon_angel.gif icon_ninja.gif icon_w00t.gif

7. Posted by mdvd Fri Mar 23, 2007 4:33 pm

BUT it may be the first MOTOROLA SLIDER IN US.

8. Posted by hjaveri Fri Mar 23, 2007 4:56 pm

the SGH-d415 was the first slider. it came way before any of those models you idiots have claimed. how old are you guys? like 12?

9. Posted by lupi_25 Sun Mar 25, 2007 5:24 pm

I think its saying that is the first GSM slider in the U.S. that features premium communications and multimedia features.

10. Posted by Allen Sun Mar 25, 2007 11:10 pm

mdvd is correct, it is Motorola's first GSM slider in the U.S. My apologies for the confusion.

11. Posted by itsajoey Mon Mar 26, 2007 2:43 am

no problem at all it was just funny on how it read.

icon_w00t.gif Cool- so T-Mobile *finally* has this- which is great since my contract is up for renewal in a week.

BUT-- Supposedly motorola is going to also have the KRZR in a few weeks too (about time- T-Mobile always seems to be the LAST to have newer phones. icon_mad.gif )

SO. what do you all think about the RIZR vs KRZR? As far as I know, they're both extremely similar. Any big selling points in the view of you all of one over the other one? My gut feeling is that the open design is the slider phone with the exposed screen is asking for trouble (*crack*).

13. Posted by mikekay10 Tue Mar 27, 2007 3:23 pm

I agree with the concerns about the outer screen - therefore I prefer the KRZR.

Also FYI the KRZR feels much more solidly built than the RAZR

14. Posted by gahanka Thu Mar 29, 2007 8:24 pm

Personally I'm definitely going for the RIZR - better camera than the KRZR, better display and more solid feel to it. Just waiting for the maroon version from T-mobile which is supposed to be available soon:))
And the screen concerns? What about all the other bar shaped non-flip phones? Unless you're extremely rough with your fone it should be fine.

15. Posted by mikekay10 Fri Mar 30, 2007 2:28 pm

I will not have any phone with main screen on outside.

16. Posted by Malibu21 Sun Apr 01, 2007 1:21 am

I happen to like the Rizr much better than the K1, i miss that phone, but I wouldn't consider buying a k1 personally

So, when is this phone going to be available in different colors? The blue one is out right now, and If it takes months for the multiple colors to come out, then I dont think I'll wait. (Id prefer the all black.)

18. Posted by Susie Thu Apr 05, 2007 4:14 pm

Anyone know when this will be available on Amazon for T-mobile? I love the RIZR, but I don't want to pay $99 for through T-mobile. Once it goes up on Amazon I can talk them into giving me a $20 or $30 discount I think. I'd have my mom start a family plan through Amazon to get cheaper phones, but I don't want to go through the hassle of changing phone numbers. How does amazon get those cheap prices? (Before rebates their phones are practically free.)

21. Posted by itsajoey Mon Apr 09, 2007 3:17 pm

look at the fine print when you sign up cuz most of the deals you have to add a data plan and or the higher min plan .

22. Posted by itsajoey Mon Apr 09, 2007 3:17 pm

look at the fine print when you sign up cuz most of the deals you have to add a data plan and or the higher min plan . and its for new customers which makes a bigg difference

23. Posted by coltifer Mon Apr 09, 2007 5:04 pm

i've gone through amazon twice before and have never had to sign up for anything extra. Also, I'm aware that it has to be a new customer, thats why I mentioned needing my mom to start the family plan if I did choose that route.

24. Posted by Shalalala Tue Apr 10, 2007 12:14 pm

Yeah, I get all of my phones through amazon
No extra things other than the $250 they'll charge you if you muck up your service.

37. Posted by rkleemann Mon Jun 04, 2007 12:57 pm

So does the unlocked RIZR work on Cingular?

Is there a need to contact Cingular support to use it, or just dropping the sim card will work?

38. Posted by Malibu21 Mon Jun 04, 2007 5:13 pm

drop in the sim and go

39. Posted by BigRUSS Mon Jun 04, 2007 6:13 pm

the moto forum can take care of that quite easily

41. Posted by Pimpboy51 Wed Jun 06, 2007 12:22 am

ya it workz like a charm! anyway i really dont care about the MMS setting only itnernet cuz i dont use MMS but yup just put it in and it works u know whats wierd? I had a Samsung D807 be4 the RIZR and when I popped the sim into the RIZR IT AUTOMAITCLY CHANGED FROM CINGULAR TO AT&T! so weird!

42. Posted by Uranusisbig Wed Jun 20, 2007 11:59 am

my unlocked RIZR from ebay worked great when i popped the SIM in. all i had to do was look up the MMS and internet settings then apply them. was pretty simple. its a good, solid phone that looks awesome. 2 of my friends already ordered them.

i was completely sold that i wanted the iPhone but the price is nuts and usually the first generation anything from Apple is always followed by a much better second generation product.

so i'll hang on to this one for aobut a year until i see how well the iPhone goes over (and let the price come down). its nice to be a free agent and out of my contract w/Cingular. That's the beauty of unlocked phones.

43. Posted by Malibu21 Thu Jun 21, 2007 3:53 am

Without contracts, you more than likely get crappy service, Contracts=guarnteed money for the carrier=more income=more towers= better service, but it is nice to know you can threaten to switch.
