T-Mobile Offers Unlimited Calling, Messaging Plan

Wed Feb 20, 2008 4:27 am

T-Mobile today announced a plan that includes unlimited nationwide wireless calling and unlimited nationwide messaging for $99.99 per month, available beginning Thursday, Feb. 21.

With this new plan, domestic roaming and long distance charges are included. Unlimited messaging includes text messages (SMS), picture messages (MMS) and instant messages (IM).

"T-Mobile is passionate about helping people stick together with those who matter most, and providing them with the best value is one way we help our customers do that," said Jeff Hopper, vice president, Marketing, T-Mobile USA. "This offering empowers people to communicate as much as they like on their own terms - whether it's voice, text messaging, picture messaging or IM."

T-Mobile also offers myFaves plans - unlimited calling plans suited for a majority of its customers - beginning at just $39.99 per month.

Verizon Wireless set off a stampede to unlimited voice plans among U.S. mobile operators on Tuesday. T-Mobile joins Verizon Wireless and AT&T to recently announce unlimited plans. Sprint hasn't offered any indication of following suit.

But when you change to this plan, YOU MUST AGREE TO NEW 2YR CONTRACT!

Sprint has an unlimited plan, but it's 199.99, they've had it for a couple of years now, picked it up from Nextel during the merge.

Mobilpedia. you got it wrong (again). Why can't people in the media ever get it right. Sprint has 119.99 plans in 5 markets that is unlimited. 2 weeks ago, Sprints CEO came out and said they were "thinking" about it. SO, VZW wanted to be the 1st out the gate and fall on it's face to offer it, then AT&T then TM. So, why is it, everyone goes ga-ga over VZW's inability to be orignal when they COPIED Sprint's idea. It was Sprint who caused VZW to do this in the first place. NO? Where's the "headlines" that they were thinking about BEFORE Sprint? Thought so. Then, AT&T, being late to the party, figured, yeah. Then TM. hey, what the heck. Now, Sprint let all these people come out and show the true colors (by raping it's customers over price and features) so now, Sprint has a MUCH better plan and I can more then bet, it will get better (unlimited vox only for the 60 bucks everyone wants). So, lets see if that jerk of a CEO at VZW back peddles and drops it's price to counter. So don't flounder and start spewing VZ's customer service. A little searching on the net finds they ALL need some work so Sprint doesn't have the market on that issue. icon_wink.gif

Excellent Post! And Now SprintS New Unlimited Plan Goes Into Effect. I Know There Are A Few Of Them Actually, But The 99 Dollar One Is Called Simply Everything, And It's Just That. Unlimited Voice, Data, GPS, Sprint TV, Sprint Radio, Text, MMS, And More. Which Blows All Those Other Offers Out Of The Water. Way To Go Sprint.

Unlimited is for the United States ONLY . if you have a great track record with the company they may skirt the contract to 1 year . you have a better change at that if you're a new customer going into the retail T-Mobile store NOT AN INDIRECT DEALER . it's worth it as a consumer to go through the direct store

I don't usually stick up for Sprint, but they are the only company not requiring people to renew their contract when they switch to the unlimited plan.

Oh and one other thing, these unlimited plans, no matter whose company are not the end all plan, in fact, the bulk of the people will stick to the family plans they already have. Your average five line useer is not going to jump out and get these plans.

You know, everyone will have complaints, but Sprint lost close to 700,000 customers over the Christmas holiday, that is net over what they gained. Maybe everyone has CS issues, but Sprint takes the cake. If you don't gain customers over Christmas, you are doing something seriously wrong.
