Verizon Wireless today announced the availability of the Samsung U550, a fashionable clamshell with capabilities to download and listen to music, check out short video clips and take pictures and videos while on-the-go.

Customers can also access VCAST Video, Verizon Wireless' multimedia service for news, sports and entertainment video clips, 3D games, and more; and VCAST Music, which offers access to a library of 2.7 million full-length songs that can be purchased and downloaded over-the-air.
