Sprint Offers Unlimited Everything Plan

Thu Feb 28, 2008 5:48 pm

Sprint today announced the Simply Everything plan, a domestic unlimited pricing plan that gives customers unlimited voice, data, text, email, Web-surfing, Sprint TV, Sprint Music, GPS Navigation, Direct Connect and Group Connect for $99.99 a month.

The Simply Everything plan is available to customers on both Sprint's CDMA and iDEN networks. Existing customers can switch without extending their current contract either by contacting customer service or by stopping by any participating Sprint retail location. New line activations require a two-year agreement.

"This is a bold, unprecedented move," said Dan Hesse, president and CEO, Sprint Nextel. "Wireless today is about much more than just voice. It is about data services - texting, email, video, pictures, music, navigation, surfing the Web and more. Customers want these applications, but without complexity and without having to worry about their bill. The $99.99 Simply Everything plan delivers it all right to the palm of their hand now."

For families, Simply Everything includes an incremental $5 discount for each incremental line, up to five lines on the same bill. For example, two lines would amount to $194.98 ($99.99 + $94.99); a third line would cost an additional $89.99.

Sprint now joins AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless to recently announce unlimited plans.

For a second i got excited, but thier family plan isn't great. oh well, i'll stick with my plan for now, it's almost unlimited everything. almost.

Their family plan is better then everyone elses, and what's more, unlike everyone else, they aren't requiring you to sign a contract to switch to this plan. Looks like the new CEO Dan Hesse is really serious about turning Sprint around, and this is a big step.

i agree. this new plan is great for single plans or business's. i just wish the add a line was around 20 Bucks Or So.

You're not going to see an unlimited plan with a 20 add a line anytime soon. Maybe a few years from now.

I Bet the first carrier that does that, wins. even if it was 30 Per Line

Not really, the first carrier that does it will just be followed by all the other carriers. We don't need to even look back three weeks to see that. Verizon launches an unlimited plan for 99, and ever since most of the other major carriers have introduced their own version of it.

True enough. and you have to admit heese was a genius by leaking out info sprint was considering it, and forcing verizon to make the first move.

I'm not certain, nor am I concerned all that much about those details, but the fact of the matter is Sprints unlimited plan is better then any of the competitors. In fact they have to risk backpedaling to make theres as good as Sprint, hence becoming the copycat of the trendsetter, or leaving it alone and losing business to Sprint from a vastly superior deal.

Now Sprint Needs To Advertise The Hell Outta This Deal.

I heard a good ad on the radio as I drove in to work today. One thing Sprint has done is spent money on advertising, if they had saved some of that and spent it on better call centers they wouldn't be in the fix they are in now.

In My Area They Are Starting To Push Nextel DC Alot. No Mention Of QChat Though.

The new CEO is definatily keeping his word about turning Sprint around. A lot of people havent been happy with Sprint and now they are starting to come out of a hole. The unlimited plan is the best unlimited plan for the money if you ask me. Cricket is saying theirs is better when they can bearly get signal. My hat is off to Sprint for this great new offer.

Agreed.

I think Helio's offer is better, but I'd have to recheck it.
