I purchased a Nokia 5310 (unlocked) with the plan of using it on ATT Wireless. (I still have over a year to go on the existing contract). It should arrive any day now.

From what I've rearsearched, I should be able to pop in the SIM card from my existing phone and be good to go. It it really that simple? Is there any thing that I am overlooking?

Thanks

Had this phone 2 weeks. Bought for $220 on Amazon, unlocked.

Pros:
1. Very loud and clear (regular and speakerphone).
2. Good reception (T-Mobile).
3. Well-made
4. Small, stylish
5. Nokia software great: f/w updates, backing up phone, etc.
6. Music playing ability is excellent: navigation, dedicated keys, clean sound.

Cons:
1. Short battery life -- even with low usage.
2. Playing mp3s via speakerphone drains battery very very quickly.
3. Camera is poor.

The camera is excellent for me (up to 1600x1200 is better then my nikon coolpix 3200)

The battery life seems to last a decent amount (if you use ANY device for more then just calls or text messaging, of coarse it's going to run down the battery). You are supposed to keep lithium ion batteries fully charged to maintain long battery life. (Letting the phone DIE even a couple times can ruin it, and you should charge it as soon as the battery indicator tells you that a level has dropped)

I noticed a weird beeping/buzzing sound coming from the earpiece, even when not making a call, and call quality seems to be crappy compared to other phones I have used.
