DO NOT BUY IT, sprint giving Nextel a POS phone without a touch screen. Make them lose money and get a better phone. Blackberry is a good phone, no doubt. It aint rugged, its got a keyboard. They can do better. Wait, don't give them the pleasure.

Not real sure what speedbuggy's problem is just because it doesnt have touch screen is that supposed to mean its a POS? I am happy that Nextel is finally getting a Smartphone to go with its very reliable service. Thanks Nextel.

I was just told by a sprint employee this phone actually runs on the sprint network, not the Iden network. He says they are branding it nextel so it will not take away from sales of sprints blackberry curve without the direct connect.
Even if this is true, one would think this is still a better buy even if you dont use direct connect, the nextel version has wifi and the current sprint version does not.

Launch date is indeed 12/15 but you can pre order the phone now. price is 249.99 if your eligible for the two yr rebate pricing or a new customer to sprint.
Its actually a good looking phone. I went to a blackberry training and got to play with it for a while and it worked really nice and the direct connect feature just adds to the plethora of features blackberry already offers.

Can anyone verify if the 8350i can support two phone lines? I have been told yes and no by Sprint people. I currently have a I580 that does have two phone lines and really want to convert both to the Curve.
