HTC today unveiled the Touch HD, an entertainment focused handset with a widescreen VGA display and a 5.0-megapixel camera.
The Touch HD has a large 3.8-inch WVGA touchscreen for clear and vibrant colors when watching movies or browsing the Internet.
It features HTC's TouchFLO 3D user interface for quick access to people, messages and content. The built-in 5.0-megapixel camera and camcorder captures high-quality stills and videos. A standard 3.5mm headphone jack allows consumers to use high-performance headphones.
The Touch HD renders websites quickly with download speeds up to 18 times faster than standard 3G.
"The Touch HD delivers that uncompromising multimedia and Internet experience," said Peter Chou, CEO of HTC Corporation. "The internet is so much more than just email and our customers expect to be able to access the Internet and high quality multimedia content no matter where they are in the world."
The HTC Touch HD will be available across major European carriers in Q4 2008 and be introduced in other global markets shortly following.
