The Epix is a sleek, silver finish handset equipped with a full QWERTY keyboard. It has multiple ways to navigate its large 2.5-inch touch screen. Located between the right and left soft keys, an optical mouse lets users navigate by sweeping a finger over it. The optical mouse can switch to a four-way navigation key for more traditional navigation.

To interact directly with the touch screen, consumers can also use their finger or the built-in stylus for pinpoint accuracy.

An integrated 2.0-megapixel camera captures photos and videos. Stereo Bluetooth technology offers handsfree listening and conversation. For external storage, a microSD memory card slot stores of up to 32GB of data. With built-in Wi-Fi, users can connect with networks, including more than 17,000 AT&T hot spots nationwide.

Backing the Epix is AT&T's 3G HSDPA network. Customers can access AT&T Mobile Music for music content, including subscriptions from Napster Mobile and XM Radio Mobile. CV (Cellular Video) lets viewers watch thousands of clips via streaming video. MobiTV provides full-length video streaming.

Running on Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional, users can access multiple email accounts with Microsoft Direct Push and AT&T Xpress Mail. It offers over-the-air synchronization of contacts, calendars and task lists with Microsoft Exchange Server or Xpress Mail and supports Good Mobile Messaging.

Microsoft Office Outlook Mobile synchronizes schedules and contacts. Internet Explorer Mobile provides improved web browsing and Office Mobile manages Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents.

"Samsung developed this phone with the business user in mind," said Bill Ogle, Chief Marketing Officer of Samsung America. "The Epix allows you to never miss a beat at the office, stay in touch with colleagues and family and enjoy entertainment."

The Samsung Epix is available for $199.99 with a two-year service agreement and after a mail-in rebate.
