AT&T today announced that the BlackBerry Bold smartphone will be available on Tuesday, Nov. 4th.
The BlackBerry Bold features a black exterior, chrome-finished frame and leatherette backplate with a half-VGA (480 x 320 px at 217 ppi) color display and a full QWERTY keyboard.
Inside, the Bold features built-in GPS and Wi-Fi, a powerful new 624 MHz mobile processor, 1 GB on board memory and up to 16 GB via its microSD/SDHC expansion slot.
Multimedia capabilities include an advanced media player for music, videos and photos and a 2.0-megapixel camera with built-in flash, zoom and video recording.
The Bold gives users push-based access to as many as 10 supported email accounts. Customers can also download and edit Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint files using the preloaded DataViz Documents to Go software suite.
With Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g, the Bold can connect automatically to hotspots. It includes Bluetooth 2.0 for handsfree headsets, stereo headsets, car kits and other peripherals.
Powered by TeleNav, customers can get spoken or text-based turn-by-turn directions with automatic missed turn rerouting and a local business finder service in 20 countries.
Roxio Photosuite 9 LE is included to enhance pictures and create photo albums. BlackBerry Media Sync organizes iTunes digital musical collections with the handset. BlackBerry Desktop Manager software comes with Roxio Media Manager for BlackBerry to manage music, videos and recorded Voice Notes between a computer and the smartphone.
The Bold boasts a new acoustic design to enhance phone clarity and Speaker Independent Voice Recognition (SIVR) for Voice Activated Dialing (VAD).

The BlackBerry Bold will be released on Tuesday, Nov. 4th for $299.99 with a two-year contract.
