In late 2007, the original Rumor became one of Sprint's best selling devices.

The Overland Park, Kan.-based company said its new Rumor2 has a full-sliding QWERTY with an additional row of keys for easier typing.

It also has an increased QVGA display, 1.3-megapixel camera and stereo Bluetooth technology.

The Rumor2 comes preloaded with Sprint Navigation for GPS navigation and voice and on-screen, turn-by-turn driving directions.

Users can access Microsoft Exchange Server and IBM Lotus Notes accounts through Sprint Mobile Email Work.

A removable backplate lets users personalize their phone.

"Through listening to consumer feedback, we've taken the successful components of the original slider phone, and made the device more impressive by including battery covers for personalization and an extra row of keys on the keypad to make texting even easier," said Ehtisham Rabbani, Marketing Vice President for LG Mobile Phones.

The LG Rumor2 will be available online on March 15 in Black Titanium and on March 29 in Vibrant Blue. Beginning April 19, the Rumor2 will be available in all Sprint stores. It will be available for $50 with a new two-year service agreement after a $50 mail-in rebate.
