Rural wireless provider Alltel has expanded its popular "My Circle" calling plan to include an extra five numbers for unlimited calling.
The Little Rock, Ark.-based company, now owned by Verizon, pioneered the idea of unlimited calling to a small group of numbers.
Its "My Circle 10," which offers unlimited calling to 10 numbers, will become the "My Circle 15." The "My Circle 20" will become the "My Circle 25."
Plans will start at $60 a month for 900 anytime minutes. Calls to "circle" contacts won't count against monthly minute allotments.
The new plans are only available in 91 markets -– located in 22 states -- that Verizon was required to sell when it bought Alltel in January.
The divested markets include the entire states of North and South Dakota, and portions of North Carolina, Georgia, Ohio and others.
