HTC Touch Diamond Gets Repolished for Verizon

Verizon Wireless, the largest U.S. wireless carrier, has launched its version of the HTC Touch Diamond, a Windows Mobile smartphone with touch screen technology.

HTC Touch Diamond

Previously released on Sprint, the handset runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional with HTC's TouchFLO 3D user interface, and features a 2.8-inch touch screen with Opera web browser, a 3.2-megapixel camera with auto-focus lens and a microSD card slot.

Unique to Verizon's version, the Touch Diamond has Visual Voice Mail to prioritize messages, VZ Navigator for audible turn-by-turn directions and Mobile IM to chat with friends and family.

The HTC Touch Diamond costs $300 after a $70 mail-in rebate with a new two-year customer agreement.
